Phlog Log - an introduction.

It has quickly come to my attention that though the quality of my photographs has increased over the past two years, I can't help but feel that my abilities as a photojournalist have gone close to nowhere.  It's so easy to document the Everything happening all around me and yet I have a sort of timidity that will never wane.

However.

With the added discipline of writing a Phlog (I'm not sure if this is a real term but it sounds stupid enough that it could be), I hope to both reclaim (though there's hardly anything to reclaim) my status as a photojournalist and share the Everything with you.

I shoot everything with my Canon EOS 40D, purchased for me by my brother, Andrew, to whom I owe a great deal of gratitude.

I saw today on nytimes.com a video phlog, I guess more of a slide show of photos with voice over, on some fashion critic's take on current male fashion: his impressions of the *thin man* trend. Interesting commentary and good photos. Maybe that's a way to take this thing a step further, which isn't to say that it isn't cool already. And thanks for the shout out.
